About Idle Worship

These are a collection of poems largely written in church meetings.

They are about God, grace, disappointment, puns, and bodily functions.

Though influenced by religion, I think anyone who has thought deeply about life will appreciate the observations, and commentary.

It’s a deceptively challenging work.

Life is Weird & Wonderful. So Are These Poems.

At first I compiled the book just for me—because I wanted to own it—but I found it was selling at a much faster than I ever expected and the feedback was positive, so now I’m putting it out there.

If you’ve wrestled with angels, or maybe even boys named Connor in high school, this book is for you.

“ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL AND INSIGHTFUL. NOT ONLY DID I RECOGNIZE MYSELF IN THESE LINES, BUT I LEARNED ABOUT MYSELF TOO … I SAVORED EACH VERSE. JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SUGAR AND SALT. “

About To Market:

This book sits somewhere between business-oriented self-help and sanity-saving memoir. It’s a tale born of fifteen years of frustration, passion, and hope for improvement, a practical guide to all the pitfalls that often kill good work.

It’s a great guide for anyone who is trying to persuade others, has a marketing job, or is an entrepreneur.

But it’s also just great popcorn for anyone who likes to watch someone who is being driven nuts by the world around him.

Most Marketing Sucks, but It Doesn’t Have to

Over decades of experience in marketing at companies big and small, I’ve seen a lot of things not work out. It’s almost usually because the proper foundation wasn’t in place for success, or because the execution was terrible. This book is about how understanding and respecting people will fix those issues.

“THIS IS THE BEST MARKETING BOOK I'VE EVER READ. REALLY.”

“I'VE HAD TO READ (POSSIBLY) MORE THAN MY FAIR SHARE AND THEY ARE ALL DRY AND MAKE THE SAME POINTS OVER AND OVER. TO MARKET, THOUGH, IS A DELIGHT.”
