Poem: By Committee

Poem: By Committee

By Committee

I’ve never had a
problem with group work,
only with the groups
I’ve been assigned to.
I don’t want to wear
the t-shirts made by
the family for
the next reunion.
I do not want to
submit favorite
songs to the playlist.
Committees upon
committees planning
bland chicken dinners
or advertisements
that were never loved.

We do not beed more
collaboration.
We need better groups.
