Poem: On Faith

Poem: On Faith

On Faith

A man wondering
through the desert sees
salvation lying
at the horizon.

The promise of full
rejuvenation,
shiny and vibrant,
stretches over the
miles of sun-baked sand
and desolate waste,
calling out to him.

Is it something real?
Is it a mirage?
He’s scared of hope and
scared of letting go.

He stares far ahead,
tired beyond belief,
on the edge of life,
and wonders if he
really has a choice.
