Poem: Embracing a Cold & Indifferent Universe
Embracing a Cold & Indifferent Universe
I told the world
I don’t know why
I am here.
And the world said
I don’t really
know or care.
This upset me
and I complained
to the world.
But the world was
indifferent
to my gripes.
For a while I
pouted and moped,
got real down.
Then it hit me:
I should be more
like the world.
