Poem: A Utah Father's Dilemma

Poem: A Utah Father's Dilemma

A Utah Father’s Dilemma

What do you
want to do
for Father’s Day?
Put on a tie?
Or watch kids try
to think of what to say?

Maybe you
really want to
get up early,
get kids dressed
in Sunday best,
run out in a hurry,
go to church,
sing a dirge
about Christ’s death?
Yell at kids
to zip their lids
on this day of rest?

What do you
want to do
for Father’s Day?
It is clear
what I’ve said here
is the only way.
