Poem: Everything I Know About Death
Everything I Know About Death
It's a swift kick
in the nuts—
except when it's
a slow kick.
It brings gawkers,
casseroles,
flowers and cards.
Hopefully
it’ll also bring
good friends who
don't have to talk.
It can take
awhile to come,
then goes fast,
then seems to last
forever.
That's what I know
about death.
